Variational (Omni)

Variational is a peer-to-peer derivatives protocol on Arbitrum that clears and settles trades on-chain. Its first app, Omni, lets users trade perpetuals on crypto and traditional markets from a single cross-margined USDC account, with the Omni Liquidity Provider quoting and taking the other side of every trade.

  • Geo Block: yes. Cloudflare answers "access restricted" (the app reloads into the Cloudflare block page) and the /banner API flags isRestrictedJurisdiction. Which countries get the block is not confirmed yet: the Restricted Persons page names 19 territories (and bars US and Canadian persons); a per-country check is pending.
  • Feature Block: n/a.
  • Wallet screening: ToS only.
  • VPN / Tor detection: ToS only. Terms: "Disguise your location through IP proxying, VPN or other methods" is prohibited.
