Safe{Wallet}

Safe, formerly Gnosis Safe, is a smart-account wallet that can require several owners to approve each transaction (multisig). Safe{Wallet} is its official interface, with built-in swaps, staking and third-party apps on many EVM networks.

Restrictions

• Geo Block: yes. The Safe Client Gateway (safe-client.safe.global), which the app loads every Safe, balance and transaction from, is refused by CloudFront (HTTP 403) in some countries; the page itself loads and then shows 'Access Restricted'. The countries are those of the live probe (see the observations; 2026-10-12: BY, CU, RU). Blocked countries: Belarus, Russia, Cuba.
• Feature Block: yes. HEAD /swap -> 403 for OFAC countries -> swap/stake/earn/Safe token hidden; the core wallet works.
• Wallet screening: yes. Chainalysis Sanctions Oracle (on-chain) -> feature-level 'Blocked address'. Where it runs: frontend. Fail mode: n/a.
• VPN / Tor detection: no.
• Terms of Service: safe.global/terms, Last updated 2025-10. The Terms name no country: users must not be citizens, residents or members of any jurisdiction subject to EU or US economic sanctions (safe.global/terms, section 17, read 2026-10-12).

Notes

Only native integrations are restricted (swap via CoW, stake via Kiln and so on). The core wallet is permissionless.
