Lido

Lido is the largest liquid-staking protocol on Ethereum. Users stake ETH and receive stETH, a token that accrues staking rewards while remaining usable across DeFi; the validators are run by a curated set of node operators.

Restrictions

• Geo Block: yes. stake.lido.fi/api/geo answers HTTP 403 'Access to our services from your current location is unavailable' to some countries and the app shows the same warning. The countries are those of the live probe (see the observations; 2026-10-12: CU, IR, SY). Blocked countries: Syria, Cuba, Iran.
• Feature Block: yes. /api/geo (cf-ipcountry): full|limited; remote config geo.limited=[US] -> Earn vaults; Tor/unknown -> limited Live: /api/geo answers availability=limited from the US (2026-10-12; staking disabled, withdrawals stay), full elsewhere. Affected countries: United States.
• Wallet screening: yes. /api/validation -> external validationAPI /v2/check/{addr} (unnamed) + local list. Where it runs: API. Fail mode: n/a.
• VPN / Tor detection: detect. Tor exits get the 'limited' mode.
• Terms of Service: lido.fi/terms-of-use, Last updated 2026-09-23. Crimea, CU, DPR, IR, LPR, KP, SY + sanctioned; US/UK: Earn only.

Notes

The IPFS build lets you control the API base paths. Stake/Withdraw are not geo-gated.
